Christian Medical Center and Hospital
The hospital is registered with AB-PMJAY (HOSP10P120126) and has also been a COVID-designated hospital during the recent pandemic. We are also working with CMC, Vellore, through a partnership with Diabetic (foot) care to evaluate and screen Thalassemia patients. We also seek to make this a centre of excellence for Neuro care. These types of equipment provide specialised services for needy patients who cannot afford and access quality diagnostic and therapeutic care. The services with these pieces of equipment will generate some revenue to sustain the operation and the staff who provide services. None of these will require ongoing operation costs, but we hope this will generate revenue to care for otherwise needy and disadvantaged patients.

CT Scan Machine | Due to the increase in the number of stroke patients and patients with trauma and abdominal ailments, the addition of a CT Scan machine will raise the treatment benefit considerably for any patient coming to CMC. The CT Scan machine will provide films immediately and usually a telemedicine diagnostic report within 3-4 hours of taking the scan. Since the infrastructure, Diesel General, and space are all available, this can be considered a top priority.
Ultrasound machine | Providing an ultrasound machine for any hospital is a necessity these days. Patients in Internal medicine to OB/Gynae Cardiac - all benefit from a USG machine on site. The ultrasound machine typically comes with probes for abdominal and Doppler studies. A third probe can also be procured, which will help with 2D Echo and cardiac ailments and diagnosis.
Blood Bank Set-up | CMC hospital envisions setting up a blood bank to provide blood to both inpatients and the public. Besides whole blood, providing blood elements such as packed red cells, platelets, etc., is vital. They will assist significantly in critical patients and also patients pre-op and post-op.
Mindray Elisa Reader | The diagnostic laboratory has a haematology machine and biochemistry analyser; however, hormone analyses such as T3 T4 and Vitamin D3 samples are sent outside, which takes time and is unnecessary. A team of four lab technicians are responsible for the lab, and having an Elsa reader will significantly enhance the quality and the speed/ efficiency of diagnosis and treatment.
EEG Machine (Electro Encephalogram Machine) | This machine is used for those with seizures and trauma/accidents on the head. This is especially helpful with both conscious and unconscious patients. This space is available, and investment will significantly enhance our services.
Diabetic Clinic | Diabetes is a serious non-communicable disease that affects 77 million people with Type II and 25 million people (Pre-diabetics). Providing care for diabetics at any healthcare facility will be a mandatory part of the package in the future. This includes diagnosing peripheral neuropathies and providing MCR soles and supportive, offloading footwear. A Diabetic Clinic at CMCH will provide an innovative approach to all diabetic patients and provide A-Z solutions for any diabetic patient who walks into the hospital. This will define a new approach for transformative well-being. |
